  The life and work of schlockmeister William Castle, who ballyhooed his cheapie horror movies like House on Haunted Hill and The Tingler (both starring Vincent Price) into immortality, are celebrated in this biopic. A plethora of gimmicks, including Emergo (skeletons whooshed through the theater), Percepto (buzzers under the theater seats), and Illusion-O (3-D glasses), made each screening a collaborative multimedia experience of screams and laughter. Devoté John Waters and Castle's daughter, among others, provide a delightful tour through the maestro's life, inspiring you to see every one of his shoddy masterpieces of shrieking terror.
