In this groundbreaking film directed by famed portrait photographer Timothy Greenfield-Sanders, New York Times film critic Elvis Mitchell conducts riveting interviews with twenty prominent African American artists, CEOs, politicians, athletes, and activists. Chris Rock, Vernon Jordan, Toni Morrison, the Rev. Al Sharpton, and others reflect, often humorously, on what it means to be on the "blacklist," and in the process they redefine the historically loaded term.
