  This 1959 genre classic pits megalomaniacal,LSD-dropping scientist Vincent Price against the underwhelming eponymous monster, a parasitic (rubber) worm that lies dormant in everyone's spine until paralyzing fear awakens it. The film's first theatrical run featured "Percepto!," vibrating buzzers installed beneath select seats in the audience that encouraged viewers to let loose blood curdling screams on cue, the only way to destroy the Tingler. The silent and stoic are doomed to die: so scream or beware!
