Web/Design Internship

The Full Frame Documentary Film Festival celebrates the power and artistry of documentary film. The festival is an important arena for documentary filmmakers—a place where they can showcase their work theatrically in an environment that stimulates conversation and community between other filmmakers, industry executives and the general public. Through assisting the Full Frame Communications Department, web/design interns will become familiar with all aspects of the website, our most important marketing tool, which is relied upon heavily for up-to-date information both by the filmmakers and the audience.

An ideal candidate would be able to perform the following tasks:

  • General website maintenance, able to add/update festival information (including: program details, press releases, sponsorship info, travel accommodations, and photos)
  • Knowledgeable in HTML, XHTML, Dreamweaver, Illustrator and Photoshop
  • Managing & posting the photos from the Festival.
  • Designing projects on the web or through web communication
  • Possible management of social networking sites
  • Organized, multi-tasking and detail oriented

Working at the Festival:  We expect that all interns be able to work at least two 8 - 10 hour shifts during the Festival (April 3-6, 2008).  All interns will be given a Staff/Intern Pass to the Festival, allowing them to attend Festival programming and films when they are not working.

Time commitment: 10-15 hours/week from January through the first week of April. This internship is unpaid. Please submit resume and portfolio to opportunities@fullframefest.org with "Web/Design Internship" in the subject line.

Development Internship

The Full Frame Documentary Film Festival creates an arena for documentary filmmakers to showcase their work theatrically in an environment that stimulates conversation and community. The Development Department is looking for an intern with an interest in fundraising and corporate relations.  This internship would provide hands-on experience with the day-to day operations of managing corporate sponsorship and individual giving/membership. Responsibilities include:

  • Sponsor Deliverables: assistance retrieving all materials from the sponsors that are needed for the Festival.  This includes advertisements for our program, logos, signage, promotional items for bags, and passes names.
  • Identifying Prospects: assistance identifying regional and national prospects for sponsorship.
  • Copy and Review: assistance in drafting and proofing membership and sponsorship materials such as letters, appeals, and promotional packages as well as for the Festival Program.
  • Grants: possible assistance with writing and/or following up with steps in the grant process.
  • Communication: completing follow-up calls and help with maintaining communications with members and sponsors when necessary.
  • Data Maintenance: maintaining spreadsheets that contain sponsorship information and assisting in the creation of development update reports.
  • Membership: assistance with the creation and distribution of membership cards and other membership materials.
