The Full Frame Documentary Film Festival Executive Director oversees all aspects of festival operations and finance, including development, communications, partnerships, and programming. The ED represents Full Frame to both the local community and broader documentary film community. Full Frame has a long and close relationship with the Center for Documentary Studies and Duke University, the Presenting Sponsor of the festival.
Now in its twelfth year, the festival is an acclaimed international event dedicated to the celebration, exhibition, and advancement of documentary cinema. Each spring, North Carolina welcomes the festival for four days of films, panels, and southern hospitality. Compactly set in historic downtown Durham, the festival fosters conversation between filmmakers, film professionals, critics, and the general public. Full Frame's generous supporters range from corporations and foundations to individual donors and attendees, all of who make the event possible.
The Executive Director leads an experienced staff in running year-round activities and the festival event itself. The ED is responsible for personnel, budget, and strategic planning, overseeing the development department as well as programming and marketing efforts. Travel includes trips to seek development opportunities and to participate in industry events.
Salary commensurate with experience.
