Youth Screening

Each fall, Full Frame hosts its annual Youth Screening, drawing hundreds of students and teachers from Durham, Wake, and Orange counties to fill the Carolina Theatre in downtown Durham. Full Frame presents a carefully selected documentary and brings the filmmaker and/or film subject to speak to the students. Students work with a viewing guide created by educators who have participated in Full Frame’s Teach the Teachers program; the guide helps the students experience the film in a way that will enable them to make connections to their classroom learning. For many young people, this is their first exposure to documentary film.

Our Youth Screenings have included Full Frame alums If You Build ItThunder Soul, and The Loving Story. For questions about the annual Youth Screening, please contact education@fullframefest.org.
