1 strawberry
.5oz of simple syrup (or a dash of sugar works too!)

Ginger beer
Cut top off strawberry and slice.
Cut lemon in half. Juice one half (removing any seeds). From the remaining half, slice one ¼ inch wide wheel
In a cocktail shaker, muddle strawberry and simple syrup (hint: you can use a pint glass if you don’t have a cocktail shaker on hand). Add bourbon, 3/4 oz lemon juice, bitters, and ice and shake vigorously until chilled. Strain into a collins glass over ice and top with ginger beer. Garnish with a lemon wheel.
