Oma Rhee
NEW DOCS
Narrated by her four grown daughters, the story of Oma Rhee is not a happy one. The film begins as the four sisters relive childhood memories of family trips taken out West, the steady deterioration of their parents arranged marriage, and ultimately, their mother’s suicide. Though an undeniably tragic saga, the warm and sensitive account provided by the daughters of Oma Rhee endow the film with fascinating insight into the experience of this Korean-American family.
