Songs of Youth

NEW DOCS

A filmmaker’s journey in search of things past takes an unexpected turn when he meets Kostia Bedik, a blind man who possesses a remarkable way of seeing things. This film follows the blind street accordionist on his daily route from his humble home to the famous Odessa Steps, where he plays his harmonica with gusto. This journey, filmed in exquisite color and black and white, is pure poetry and contains a Bergmanesque simplicity in what is surely a visual masterpiece.
