Dashiell Hammett, Anaconda Cooper, the American Union Movement, Butte, Montana and the Superfund Toxic Waste program all have a role in this thoroughly modern, engaging exploration of official history. Director Travis Wilkerson’s approach to the content forces the viewer to think and see differently. The haunting use of music and text on screen, the simple, lingering, un-insistent cinematography continue to probe and prod well after the final fade.  KF
