Five people muse on how the experience of loneliness gave them the life-changing gift of introspection. Domino gets rich in the shipping business but blows a fortune and slips into despair. Pamela has a boring job and finds nighttime companionship with a team of graffiti artists. Tom, a carpenter, and Lynn, a writer, are both alienated from their families, although Tom’s background is wealth and Lynn’s extreme poverty.
