NEW DOCS Thematic Why War? Curated by Cara Mertes

Abu Dis is an Arab village situated in the shadows of Jerusalem’s Mount of Olives. During the summer of 2002, the Israeli government build a kilometer-long wall through the center of Abu Dis in order to block the movement of terrorists. The wall split the village in two and created a new border. A section of Abu Dis became Israeli territory as it was annexed to Jerusalem by the Israeli government. Many Palestinians continue to live in that part of the village.  CM
