From Jamaica, Queens to Flatbush, Brooklyn and beyond, the Kings of Christmas—predominantly, but not exclusively, Italian-Americans—decorate their homes with elaborate displays of lights, reindeer, snowmen, Ferris wheels, and moving figures like Stumpy the Talking Christmas Tree. This film takes an abundantly good-humored approach to these holiday extravaganzas, exploring the spirit of generosity, the endless desire for bigger and better, and the sky-high December electricity bills that these happy warriors share in their quest to be the best.  MP
