Nigeria is the third largest producer of feature films, after the US and India. Movies are made on the cheap—first quickly shot on tape, then, this wealth of Afro-centric stories goes straight to video. Africans prefer their home grown cinema to Hollywood, and the films sell furiously at bazaars all over the continent, as a few imaginative entrepreneurs reshape the business of “making a movie.”  LB
