More specifically, Miroir Noir is about the making of Neon Bible, the band’s critically acclaimed 2007 album, and the tour promoting it. As innovative and eclectic as the performers it documents, the film’s vignettes showcase a raucous playlist, revealing the band in all its spirited and melancholic shapes. Fans of the band will find their favorite lyrics and crescendos enhanced by Morrisett’s atmospheric style, and newcomers to Arcade Fire will meet the introspective extroverts and their brand of brooding, sweet, and imaginative music.
