A group of young free runners and parkour artists in Denmark known as Team JiYo make the most of their architectural surroundings, leaping, flipping, sprinting, and tumbling around their city. Roofs? Railings? It’s all fair game in this test of the athletes’ mental and physical boundaries. A renowned team of Danish architects, BIG–Bjarke Ingels Group, collaborate with the free runners and parkour artists. Together they reimagine the possibilities for urban planning and even embark on designs for a new parkour park. Team JiYo also travels to Japan, China, and the US, where they meet other parkour troupes who are using urban space in this innovative way. With glowing cinematography and a mesmerizing soundtrack, My Playground is a feast for the senses. It may just inspire you to get from point A to point B in a whole new way.  ST
