The Full Frame Documentary Film Festival is a four-day, morning-to-night showcase of nonfiction cinema, where bold new documentaries are programmed alongside noteworthy films from the archives. The 28^th annual festival takes place April 16–19, 2026 in downtown Durham, NC.

More than 60% of films are presented with their filmmakers in attendance. Known for this artist-centered approach in addition to its thoughtfully curated programs, the annual festival draws thousands of attendees from around the world to celebrate the power of documentary film.
