The documentary is culled from hours of her own cell phone footage and video conversations with filmmaker Mehrdad Oskouei. Their collaboration sparks confessional moments where Soraya describes abuse at the hands of her husband, longing for her mother in Europe, and the dangers of relying on smugglers to cross borders.
