After Innocence
NEW DOCS
The evening news often carries heartwarming reunions between convicted felons exonerated by DNA evidence and their long-lost loved ones. As the film’s title suggests, being released from prison after decades of serving time for crimes one did not commit may be the end of one story, but it is merely the beginning of another. In this moving film, the viewer follows seven exonerated men through their transition back into family and society. As After Innocence demonstrates, the changes don’t come easy. This film gives the viewer a chance to witness the hard-won and frustrating circumstances of these people’s inspiring transformations. AT
