Dutch filmmaker Honigmann explores the horrors of violent conflict through an unusual portal: music. UN soldiers tell of their experiences in various conflicts (Korea, Cambodia, Lebanon and Bosnia). The soldiers, asked what song they associate with their peace missions, recount how music helped overcome difficult situations. Their experiences unfold through interviews, photographs and videos taken by the soldiers themselves. The horrors of war, and the fragility of that experience, are exposed.
