Juxtaposing scenes of families enjoying beach vacations with images that depict the inevitable consequences of their wholesomely oblivious consumption, director Enrique Baixeras suggests that it is not apples or demon reptiles but fossil-fuel-powered machines, leisure time, and the desire to encounter the exotic that have conspired to destroy the Garden.  MP
