NEW DOCS
When filmmaker Doug Block decides to document the web, he discovers that the web can document back. Block focuses on Justin Hall, whose hilarious and utterly uncensored online diary, www.links.net, spares no details about himself, his friends, or his lovers. The people featured in the film find it normal, not only to be featured on the web, but who know that Justin can communicate with them much more openly in public than in private. Block follows Hall to California to find such web luminaries as Carl Steadman (Suck), Julie Petersen (Hotwired), and Howard Rheingold. Block finds himself in a tangled web of mutual documentation where everyone, including the filmmaker himself, will be deeply affected.
