Big, greasy bodies bouncing off of one another on curiously springy mats constitutes most of what the uninitiated know about professional wrestling and the World Wrestling Federation (WWF). Director Banks Tarver digs deeper to come up with three stories of professional wrestling’s past, present and future: Tony Atlas, a former WWF champion who now ekes out a hard-scrabble existence on the amateur circuit; Triple H and Chyna, the First Couple of professional wrestling, who criss-cross the country in search of the elusive WWF championship title; and Matt Taglia, a spoiled 24-year-old who enrolls in wrestling school in order to realize his WWF dreams, but must first wrestle with his own inertia and drug problems.
