I’m Still Here: Real Diaries of Young People Who Lived During the Holocaust

NEW DOCS

This film is an unusual and nontraditional take on the Holocaust. Journals kept by German and Eastern European teens during World War II were salvaged after the war and come to new life in this powerful film. The teenagers’ diaries are read aloud by decidedly contemporary voices, with an up-to-date soundtrack and a rapid editing pace. The searing first-person testimonies are illustrated with archival footage, as well as compelling artwork and marginalia from the actual diaries.  NK
