In-the-Works

Conversations

Now in its third year, Full Frame and DocuClub are proud to continue the In-the-Works at the 2002 festival. Urban Warrior: Within recent years, the formerly bright line separating U.S. military operations from domestic law enforcement has become increasingly blurred. From Waco, to the WTO protests, Urban Warrior investigates the debate over the use of military tactics in police work. In the Name of Love is a 60-minute documentary film that explores the many reasons why Russian women join marriage agencies, told through the women’s stories. Set in St. Petersburg over the course of several years, the drama unfolds as the lives of Russian women are transformed by their very different experiences with foreign men. State of Denial, a 90 minute documentary, takes an unflinching look at how nearly 5 million South Africans are living with the AIDS epidemic amidst a climate of confusion and neglect perpetuated by successive government administrations.
