In response to over a decade of right-wing domination of the airwaves, a group of angry, enterprising individuals team up in early 2004 to launch Air America, the nation’s first liberal talk radio network. In this cinema verité style documentary, follow a crew of dedicated politicos, investors and talent through their triumphant first days on the air, the financial scandal that almost undid them, and the 2004 election results that caught them all by surprise. The film features great footage of Al Franken, Janeane Garofalo, Randi Rhodes and Marc Maron, with a cameo by the always provocative Michael Moore.  RH
