lot 63, grave c

NEW DOCS

Filmmaker Sam Green recalls the Zeitgeist of the early 1970s through clips and archival footage of an outdoor Rolling Stones concert in the Altamont, California; but within minutes, the pleasant memories are interrupted by a tragic event that gets cast, like its victim, into the fragile reticence of oblivion. Consciously disrupting the lull, lot 63, grave c is a powerful reminder of the tendency of the American mind to marginalize and erase significant people, ideas, and events.  AK
