Mojave Mirage

NEW DOCS

If a phone rings in the desert and there is no one there to answer it, does it still make a sound? Mojave Mirage follows the final days of a phone booth found in the most peculiar of places, the Mojave Desert. The pay phone, originally set up for local miners, became somewhat of a cult phenomena beginning in 1997. The phone started ringing, people started answering, a dedicated website was built and soon after it became an international hit. The viewer meets a few of the many people who made the trek to this isolated spot hoping to answer a call and make a connection.  NEN
