So Much So Fast

NEW DOCS

What do you do when you’re diagnosed with ALS, Lou Gherig’s disease? Start a family of course. That’s what 29-year-old Stephen Heywood did, while his brothers and childhood friends set the medical-research world on its ear as they raced to find a cure to save Stephen. Filmmakers Steven Ascher and Jeanne Jordan have a way with character—finding it, revealing it, preserving it—and their movie is as full of humor and grit and fighting acceptance as Stephen Heywood himself.  RR
