“They say there are only two stories in the world: man goes on a journey and stranger comes to town.” This statement begins an animated exploration of the alienating experience of immigrating to the United States. Combining appropriated footage from Homeland Security immigration tapes, audio interviews with foreigners or “aliens” describing the U.S. immigration process, and footage from the popular massively multiplayer online role-playing game, World of Warcraft, artist Jacqueline Goss explores the interplay between real and virtual in today’s society.  DRP
