Weapon of War

NEW DOCS

In the Democratic Republic of Congo an unofficial war continues between the Congolese army and rebel forces. Since 1996 an estimated 150,000 Congolese women have been raped as a form of psychological and physical warfare. In Weapon of War we are introduced to rapists who give chilling accounts of their crimes. We meet a former rebel soldier who is haunted by what he has done and an officer who is trying to change the culture of rape that pervades the army. We watch as a victim confronts her rapist. Weapon of War is honest, unflinching, and powerful. The stories exposed are at times horrifying, but they are important.  NT
