Festival Alums Now Streaming and In Theaters

A diverse collection of documentary films that captivated audiences at the 2024 and 2025 festivals is now reaching wider audiences through major streaming platforms and select theaters nationwide. This collection of titles represent some of the most charged, engaging, and moving films of recent years.

THE BITTER PILL (Full Frame 2024), directed by Clay Tweel, premieres on POV on September 22. 

With his hometown ravaged by the opioid epidemic, plaintiff attorney Paul Farrell Jr. sets out to take on giant pharmaceutical companies to recover enough money to make a lasting impact on the area. When his legal strategy catches the attention of lawyers across the country, all of the cases get rolled into the biggest civil litigation in US history. Will the case become too big for this small-town lawyer, or will he rise to the occasion and effect change for the entire nation? THE BITTER PILL held its world premiere at the 2024 festival.

THE DEVIL IS BUSY (Full Frame 2025)  debuts on HBO Max on September 23. This short film directed by Christalyn Hampton and Geeta Gandbhir is an Iris Tillman Hill Audience Award winner.

As the director of operations and security of an abortion clinic in Atlanta, Tracii doesn’t take any chances when it comes to the safety of both the patients and the staff. The Devil Is Busy is an eye-opening, on-the-ground portrayal of the shifting landscape for abortion providers in America.

FOLKTALES (Full Frame 2025), directed by Heidi Ewing and Rachel Grady, is now available to stream on Apple+, Prime Video, and more. 

On the precipice of adulthood, teenagers converge at a traditional folk high school in Arctic Norway. Dropped at the edge of the world, they must rely on only themselves, one another, and a loyal pack of sled dogs as they all grow in unexpected directions.

PREDATORS (Full Frame 2025), directed by David Osit, is now screening in select theaters across the U.S. 

To Catch a Predator was a popular television show designed to hunt down child predators and lure them to a film set, where they would be interviewed and eventually arrested. PREDATORS is a surprising exploration of the scintillating rise and staggering fall of the show, and the world it helped create.

PRIME MINISTER (Full Frame 2025) premieres on HBO Max on Sept. 30. Directed by Michelle Walshe and Lindsay Utz, this film opened the 2025 Full Frame Documentary Film Festival.
