Speakeasy Conversation: Documentary Dealmaking

Doc filmmakers, we never “talk amongst ourselves.” The documentary ground is shifting under our feet, and we keep hearing that the “golden age” of documentary film is over. But maybe, if we stand together, it has just begun? How do we make sure we get a fair slice of the pie, whether budgets are high or low? In this panel, we’ll compare notes on what exactly to ask for—and look out for—when making our deals. It’ll be a freewheeling, open conversation with no recordings allowed, so you can “speak easy” at the Full Frame Speakeasy.–Amir Bar-Lev
