“Always in Season” now streaming on Independent Lens (PBS)

In 2014, teenager Lennon Lacy was found hanging from a swing set in Bladenboro, N.C. Critics’ Choice Documentary Award Winners Revealed

The winners of the fourth annual Critics’ Choice Documentary Awards were unveiled on November 10. Our 2019 Opening Night Film American Factory won Best Political Documentary and 2019 Alum Toni Morrison: The Pieces I Am won Best Biographical Documentary. Also, our 2019 Tribute recipients, Steven Bognar and Julia Reichert, tied for Best Directors for American Factory. Award-Winning Documentary Film Kifaru to Screen for Free in Shelby, NC

2019 School of Doc After-School Program

Our second year of the School of Doc after-school program began September 10. This three-year pilot program launched last year with generous support from the Mary Duke Biddle Foundation.
